Bio
Daniel has always been fascinated by the past and how it shapes our lives today. The topics he explores and writes about tend towards examing those connections across time and space. He is especially interested in how our family and collective ancestries live on within us. And, of course, he is eternally inspired by the natural world.

Daniel is an educator as well. He has spent many seasons working with youth in the outdoors (in Montana, Washington state, and the Texas Hill Country) and five years in public Montessori classrooms. He has a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MA in History from Georgetown University. He is from San Antonio, Texas.
With That Moon Language

Admit something:
Everyone you see, you say to them, "Love me."
Of course, you do not do this out loud
Otherwise, someone would call the cops.

Still though, think about this, this great pull
in us to connect.

Why not be the one who lives with a
full moon in each eye that is
always saying,

with that sweet moon language,
what every other eye in
this world is
dying to
hear?

The Man Who Has Many Answers

The man who has many answers
is often found
in the theaters of information
where he offers, graciously,
his deep findings.

While the man who has only questions,
to comfort himself, makes music.
